Senior music business major Ethan Alonzo performs for a crowd of students at the "Unity Ball" at the Haus at 623 S. Wabash Ave. on Friday, May 8, 2026.
From singers and dancers to drag queens and kings, more than 30 students filled the Haus at 623 S. Wabash Ave. during the college’s second annual “Unity Ball.”
Unlike the previous year’s focus on runway and ballroom culture, this year’s event placed a wider emphasis on celebrating queer identities, with more time dedicated to a talent showcase featuring live music and dance performances by students.
The event was hosted by the Student Government Association in collaboration with the Student Diversity and Inclusion office on Friday, May 8, and served as the finale to the “PRIDE in May” series of events at Columbia.
