Chronicle TV: Strike updates, UNLEASHED event

Welcome back to Chronicle TV.

This week we have a Chronicle Headlines Takeover, where our podcast producers’ step-in front of the camera to host Chronicle TV. Our hosts John McGowan and Cosme Cruz update us on the on-going Columbia part-time faculty union strike. The strike has completed its fifth week, making it one of the longest part-time faculty strikes in history.

Columbia hosted its annual “UNLEASHED” event in the Student Center on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023.

Make sure to pick up a copy of our newest print issue, The Hip-Hop Issue. They are available in newsstands across campus located in every campus building. This issue has a variety of stories from women rappers at Columbia, muralists around Chicago, the Hip-Hop Heritage Museum and students and staff practicing hip-hop.

This episode was filmed on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023.
