Faculty have been meeting in recent days to address concerns in President and CEO Kwang-Wu Kim’s draft advisory report ahead of expected cuts to close the $38 million financial deficit. The report included recommendations to change the leadership structure of the college, reduce the core requirements and lay off faculty. He also identified 28 majors as “programs of concern.” In his report he said that these programs can be eliminated, revised or combined with other programs.
