This year the Biggest Mouth lineup spanned twelve student performers, plus host Irregular Gurl, from costumed rockstars Versus Vitality, rapper Lewie 216, acoustic blues from Skyla Blu, the seemingly crowd favorites of Lemons and Witches’ Rave. Artists competed for prizes to advance their careers.
Each winner got a cash prize ranging from $500 to $1,000, and interviews with Limelight, a local publication. All three winners gained “invaluable” benefits for their careers ranging from a interview on Ghetto Flower Podcast, rehearsal time, a photoshoot and a music video.
The 2024 Biggest Mouth winner was Ecuadorian artist Nicole Nicolalde, with second place going to Versus Vitality and third place winner Bread on Fork.
In past years, the highly anticipated battle of the bands style event was held at Metro, an iconic venue in Wrigleyville, but this year it was held at Epiphany Center for the Arts. Student Programming Board President Jewel Baker said the change was due to accessibility needs and to cultivate a connection with the new venue.
