Hundreds gather in Chinatown for annual Lunar New Year parade

Hundreds lined the streets of Chinatown on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, to celebrate the annual Lunar New Year, featuring a parade of floats, marching bands, and performers.

Colorful dancing dragon puppets highlighted the year of the dragon as they made their way north to West Cermak Road, where a large crowd cheered to greet them. Onlookers also poured into the surrounding businesses to enjoy food, drinks, or to browse the several shops.
