Blagojevich guilty on 17 of 20 counts

Rod Blagojevich, the former governor of Illinois, was found guilty on 17 of the 20 counts he faced. The verdict was announced on June 27. In counts 11 and 16—both attempted extortion—the jury could not reach a consensus. In count 17, solicitation of a bribe, the jury found Blagojevich not guilty.
