Colorful crowds gathered June 30 to celebrate Pride in Chicago with the city’s 50th annual Pride Parade.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot led the parade and was followed by state and local politicians including Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Treasurer Melissa Conyears-Ervin.

A variety of floats featuring balloons, dancing and music made its way through Uptown and Lake View before rain put a temporary stop to the celebrations.
