Update from Bill Foster campaign, 11th District

District 11 has been redrawn, making this year’s race between Republican candidate Judy Biggert and Democratic candidate Bill Foster is a tight one.

This win would mark Fosters return to Congress, and as he was an Illinois representative for the 14th Congressional District from March 2008 to January 2011 when he lost to Randy Hultgren.

Foster stands firm on issues such as improving the economy, creating jobs and increasing American manufacturing, according to his website.

Opposing candidate and incumbent Republican Judy Biggert, who has served in Congress for 14 years, feels like the new map was drawn to sway toward a democratic vote, as reported by CBS Chicago. She said her original district has been split six different ways.

Neither Foster nor Biggert agree with the way the 11th district has been redrawn. But Foster does not feel this is the reason people would vote for him over his opponent, according to CBS Chicago.

Foster’s website states that he supports marriage equality and the Immigration Dream Act, two measure his opponent is reportedly against.
