Chicago teachers take to streets

Members of the Chicago Teachers Union went on strike Sept. 10 for the first time in 25 years. The week leading up to Sept. 9’s negotiation deadline brought rallies around the city in support of the union’s demands. This week, teachers and their allies have been picketing in front of schools and participating in marches through downtown streets.
