Students, leaders and community members gathered at The University of Chicago Institute of Politics, 5707 S. Woodlawn Ave., on March 2 to hear renowned poet, author and educator Haki Madhubuti read excerpts from his books as well as discuss the Black Arts Movement and political engagement on Chicago’s South Side.
