After a summer of big changes, new and returning students at Columbia started their Fall 2024 classes this week, filling the hallways and crowding the sidewalks in the South Loop.
The Chronicle sent its photojournalists around campus to document the first week of the semester, which began on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The semester runs through Dec. 15.
No classes will be held this year on Election Day on Nov. 5, as the Chronicle previously reported.
Add, drop and withdrawal deadlines are posted on Columbia’s website.
