Media Production Center virtual tour

By Cristina Aguirre

The Film and Video Department is on the move with the opening of the Media Production Center (MPC). The newly constructed building opens to students in the beginning of spring semester. This is Columbia College Chicago’s first academic building commissioned by the college in its 120 years existence. The building is designed to initially fit the needs of students in the Film and Video, Interactive Arts and Media and Television department. Other departments may also use the space for collaborative projects in the future. Located at the southwest corner of 16th and State streets, MPC has two sound stages, a motion capture studio and production shop. The Chronicle got an exclusive tour around the building.
