By Cristina Aguirre

Directed by Werner Herzog, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans features Nicolas Cage as Terence McDonaugh, a rogue detective investigating the killing of five Senegalese immigrants in post-Katrina New Orleans. The film is a remake of Abel Ferrara’s 1992 film. The Columbia Chronicle’s Film Critic, David Orlikoff, reviews the dark comedy.
