Bernie Sanders supports Chuy Garcia at rally

A Feb. 22 rally for Illinois Congressional candidate for the 4th district Jesús Chuy Garcia featured special guest speaker Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont. Illinois governor candidate Christopher G. Kennedy also made an appearance at Marshall Square’s Apollos 2000, 2875 W. Cermak Rd.
The rally covered issues including raising the state’s minimum wage to $15 per hour, gun safety legislation, voting reform and protections for DACA recipients. Criticism of the Trump administration were met with roaring applause from the audience as Bernie Sanders said Trump “brought the swamp to Washington, D.C..”
