Cuddle Bunny hopes to be a safe space where customers can de-stress

By Olivia Covey, Contributing Reporter

Cuddle Bunny became Chicago’s first bunny cafe when owner Barbara “bb” Burdick opened its doors in 2020. After she found out about bunny cafes in Japan, Burdick knew she had to bring them to Chicago. This is more than a place to hang out with bunnies, the business’s full name includes the letters “CCC” at the end, which stand for “Club, Care, Community,” which can be found at the bottom of their logo. Each C stands for a pillar in Cuddle Bunny’s mission. Club represents the bunny interactions Cuddle Bunny is known for, Care represents the boarding services they offer and Community represents the many events they host, including bunny yoga.
