A run for his health
October 17, 2010
Thousands of runners participated in the 33rd Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Oct. 10. While many ran for charities, others, like Pedro Gonzalez, 44, ran for their health and children. After becoming tired of being overweight, Gonzalez changed his lifestyle and became determined to run the marathon for the second consecutive year. He said he wants to become an inspiration for his children. The Chronicle followed the local runner as he ran from start to finish.
