Webmaster

The Webmaster is responsible for the Chronicle website. This includes web design and CSS styling when necessary, editing web pages, reviewing text and images for errors, general troubleshooting and instructing the staff on how to web their stories. The Webmaster serves as the website guru and should be able and willing to instruct and help staff members whenever necessary.

Requirements

Experience managing a website

Knowledge of and experience with interface design

Have a working knowledge of file and website structure

Able to clearly instruct and assist staff on how to use the website

Take initiative with problems with or improvements on the website

Detail-oriented and organized

Skills

HTML/CSS

Some knowledge of web programming languages such as Javascript and PHP

Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
