The Chicago Socialist Party held a community meeting Jan. 30 in the Pilsen neighborhood at 1805 S. Loomis St. The party gathered at the Lozano library to teach families and single mothers how to combat the effects of gentrification. Single mothers and local leaders voiced their concerns and thoughts on how they believed gentrification could be resolved in neighborhoods like Pilsen.
