‘It’s Kind of a Funny Story’ film review
October 3, 2010
Sixteen-year-old Craig Gilner (Keir Gilchrist) looks for a quick getaway from his stressed-out life. He attempts to check himself into a youth psychiatric hospital, but is instead put into the adult ward. A patient, Bobby (Zach Galifianakis), takes Craig under his wing during his stay. Craig learns there are more stressful problems than what he was experiencing prior to checking in, such as life, love and growing pains into adulthood. The Chronicle’s film critic, Drew Hunt, reviews the “kind of funny” film.
