U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL), unveiled two pieces of legislation aimed at addressing youth unemployment in high-poverty areas April 18 at the Chicago Urban League, 4510 S. Michigan Ave.

Durbin and Kelly will introduce The HERO for At-Risk Youth Act and the Creating Pathways for Youth Employment Act when Congress is back in session next week. Durbin and Kelly both said they hope these two pieces of legislation will reduce crime and poverty and increase opportunities for young people.
