Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s election rally kicked off with remarks by Congressman Luis V. Gutierrez (D-Ill), while he showed support for Emanuel’s re-election campaign. The event took place at Chicago Journeyman Plumbers Union Hall located at 1340 W. Washington Blvd.

Emanuel addressed his supporters after being forced in to a runoff by mayoral candidate Jesus “Chuy” Garcia. The runoff is April 7.
