Members of the Austin community came out for the ribbon cutting ceremony at Westside Health Authority’s Community Kitchen located at 5852 West Noth Ave. on Monday Oct. 17. The Community Kitchen will hold nutritional classes to encourage a healthier lifestyle and to prevent obesity. AARP and Trader Joes sponsor the Community Kitchen and chef and nutritional coach Norma Rixter prepared a vegan meal for everyone in attendance.
