‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’ film review
April 25, 2010
For more than eight years, Los Angeles-based filmmaker Thierry Guetta went to the streets of America and Europe to film the secretive world of graffiti. He set out to locate world-renowned graffiti artist Bansky. After attempting to befriend him, Banksy turned the tables on Guetta with the camera. Named as “the world’s first street art disaster movie,” the documentary exposes the creators of street art. The Chronicle’s film critic, David Orlikoff, reviews “Exit Through the Gift Shop.”
