Arts & Culture Desk

The Arts & Culture Desk covers trends and of campus, city, mainstream and underground music, film, art and literature. This section is built on a large list of reoccurring features that is decided on each semester by A&C section editors. While this section’s foundation is rooted in critiques, every effort should be made to expand into feature stories or trend pieces.

Asst. Arts & Culture Editor

Responsible for writing at least two stories and one feature each week

Have an understanding for a diverse range of current movies, music genres, art, trends in the entertainment industry and the progress of Columbia students and faculty within these areas

Keep a comprehensive system of upcoming events and news within and affecting Columbia

Find stories that deal with and are appealing to students, teachers and administrators
