Students ‘Speak Out-Reach Out’

By Cristina Aguirre

In the wake of recent gay suicides across the country, the Multicultural Council and the LGBTQ Office of Culture and Community came together to take action and held a vigil against bullying and discrimination. This event, “Speak Out-Reach Out,” took place on Oct. 18 in the Quincy Wong Center, 623 S. Wabash Ave., where students shared their stories about discrimination, death and bullying to reach out to other students on campus.
