Running with a Purpose | The Columbia Chronicle

On Oct. 12, more than 40,000 runners from around the world gathered in Grant Park to take part in the 37th annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon. For many, it is a tradition. Tommy Cornille, a resident of Chicago, has run in the race for five years. From having his leg amputated when he was young to being just around the corner from the finish line at the 2013 Boston Marathon, Cornille said he does not run for himself, but in honor of those lives lost doing what they loved.
