The Chronicle sat down with Diana Solis, artist, teacher, and community activist, at her home on the city’s Lower West Side as she discussed her Mexican roots, growing up in 1960’s Chicago and her involvement in the Pilsen art community.

Her art is currently on display at Oxala Studio, 1653 W. 18th St., Chicago, and can be found at http://dianasolisarteypapel.blogspot.com
