Chicago’s city clerk nominates Emanuel (AME) church for Nobel Peace Prize | The Columbia Chronicle

Sen. Donne Trotter (D-IL), Alderman Howard Brookins, Jr. (21st Ward) and Board President of Thornton Township Frank Zuccarellli supported City Clerk Susana Mendoza’s nomination of Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Charleston, South Carolina, for a Nobel Peace Prize Oct. 13 at City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle St.

The church was nominated for responding peacefully to a June shooting that killed nine of its members.
