John H. White, Still In Flight

John H. White is a Chicago photojournalist who gained fame in the late 1970’s based on his images depicting Chicago’s South Side and the areas known then as Skid Row. White received a Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography in 1982 for his Chicago lifestyle images. He has been a staff photographer at the Chicago Sun-Times and a photojournalism instructor at Columbia College Chicago for more than 30 years.
