November 24, 2009
Directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite), Gentlemen’s Broncos brings vibrant imagery to the screen. Seventeen-year-old Benjamin Purvis (Michael Angarano) is a home-schooled, sci-fi geek who has a strong passion for writing. He attends a fantasy writer’s conference, where established fantasy novelist Ronald Chevalier (Jemaine Clement) is a speaker and judge of an manuscript contest. Benjamin submits his book entry called Yeast Lords, but soon finds Chevalier steals his story idea after having writer’s block.
