What is blues in 2025? Chicago Blues Festival answers the question

Millennium Park celebrated the 42nd annual Chicago Blues Festival over the weekend. Since 1984, the festival has put together amazing performances for consistently large turnouts. From patrons who only listen to blues on rare occasions to hardcore fans who put their chairs on the lawn of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion every year, the festival brings everyone together for a weekend-long celebration of the blues.

Alumni-led theater company creates safe space for past, future students

The Jackalope Theatre Company is featuring the world premiere of the play “Neighborhood Watch" from May 22 to June 28 in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago. Several alumni, including some from Columbia’s School of Theatre and Dance, have come together to create a space that fosters creativity and community.
