March is Women’s History Month, and we’re honoring social reformer Jane Addams, a pioneering figure who co-founded Chicago’s Hull House in 1889. Originally a settlement house, Hull House provided social and educational services to immigrants and the working class. It offered childcare, job training and legal aid. The house became a model for social reform, influencing labor laws, public health initiatives and women’s rights movements in the U.S.
