Protesters gathered outside the Broadview Immigration Detention Center on Friday, Nov. 7, for what has become a weekly demonstration against ICE raids and detentions in Chicago.
A group associated with “Resist and Repeat” detailed the arrests on their Instagram after the women led a sit-in outside the facility.
The arrests came a day after a federal judge rebuked immigration officials for lying about violence at local demonstrations and ordered agents to limit their use of force.
U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis ordered agents to restrict their use of tear gas and other anti-riot weapons.
The Broadview facility has been the site of daily protests, although Friday has typically been the largest since the Trump Administration launched operations in Chicago.
