On Friday, May 2 at 1104 S. Wabash Ave., the School of Business and Entrepreneurship in partnership with the School of Film and Television hosted the TEDx talk event “Unwoven.”
The event was produced by 20 students in the ”Event Management: Practicum” course taught by Monika Jaiswal-Oliver and Kari Sommers, Columbia’s former associate dean of student life. The event was broken into three sessions each with their own theme behind the speakers’ presentations. They were “Radical Imagination,” “Unarmored” and “Distant Intimacy.”
Each session featured five speakers who were Columbia faculty, students or alumni.
Film and television students operated the cameras in the Film Row Cinema, worked with the speakers and ran the show behind the scenes in the control room.
For those who were unable to attend the event, videos will be posted on the official YouTube for TED Talks,
