The semester ends Friday, May 16, and Columbia’s annual Manifest arts festival will close out the year with dozens of events celebrating student work. Here are three things to know for the end of the academic year.

0:28: The semester ends May 16, and Columbia’s annual Manifest Arts Festival will close out the year this Friday, with dozens of events celebrating student work.
0:39: Here are three things to know for the end of the academic year.
0:44: The college is holding two commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 18, at Credit Union One Arena.
0:52: The first ceremony, which takes place at 11 a.m., will include the schools of business and entrepreneurship, communication and culture, film and television and fashion.
1:03: The second ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m., and will include the schools of theater and dance, audio and music, design and visual arts.
1:13: Summer classes begin Tuesday, May 27, the day after Memorial Day.
1:19: This summer, Columbia is offering 31 courses and more than half will be held online and asynchronously.
1:26: The summer semester ends on Saturday, August 16.
1:31: Campus buildings will be open with reduced hours during the summer.
1:35: All campus buildings, except for residence halls, will be closed on May 26 for Memorial Day, June 19 for Juneteenth, July 4 for Independence Day and September 1 for Labor Day.
