Transcript:
00:00: Today, we’re talking about President Bolton’s Q&A session with Columbia students.
00:04: The concerned students asked an array of questions to the president at the 618 building in the Hive, though two topics stood out: the budget deficit and the enrollment decline.
00:14: There’s not a one answer solution to both the enrollment and the retention side of this.
0:21: I’ve asked and challenged the enrollment team to look across this nation and to make sure that people know we’re sitting here in this beautiful city of Chicago.
00:29: Despite those concerns the conversation remained open
00:33: The issue I brought up tonight wasn’t even about student life necessarily, but it felt good to speak directly and be like, I’ve noticed this on our campus and I feel like this and I just feel like you should know.
00:43: Senior Vice President for Enrollment Strategy and Student Success, Emmanuel Lalande draws out a hopeful future for the college.
00:51: We have to stop being the best kept secret and really continue to elevate our brand for students to know, for other students and families to know that Columbia is where a creative career starts here.
