SGA and Karaoke Club’s Costume Karaoke gave students a chance to unwind and dress up with their friends.
Transcript:
00:00:00: Today, we’re talking about the Student Government Association’s Wicked Week event, Costume Karaoke!
00:05:13: Students went all out with their costumes as they performed songs from every genre at this SGA and Karaoke Club collaborative event.
00:12:14: I really loved people’s song choices. A lot of people had like popular songs, so it was kind of fun just being in the crowd and dancing to everything.
00:19:05: Every performance received a round of applause, leaving students feeling supported and uplifted by the energy of the audience.
00:25:06: It’s just a nice environment there. Everyone is supportive, no matter how weird the song is, no matter how bad you do, people will cheer. And it’s like if you mess up, people will smile with you, they’ll laugh with you.
00:34:24: With midterms ending for most Columbia Students this week, many saw costume karaoke as a way to relax.
00:40:04: Getting to sing Welcome to the Black Parade with two of my goodest friends here at Columbia was a lot of fun. It’s like a bunch of different people. It’s amazing. It’s really fun. I’m really glad they did this.
00:50:12: I’m Julia with ChronTV, news made for Columbia right here on your feed.
