Students from Latino Alliance react to Bad Bunny winning Album of The Year at the Grammys.
Transcript:
0:00: I was actually watching the Grammys.
0:02: I always watch the Grammys every year, ‘cause
0:04: and especially ‘cause Bad Bunny is my favorite
0:06: artist. So, I was of course watching them.
0:08: I’m so happy for him and
0:09: just the Latino community at large.
0:11: Well, I think it’s actually so amazing,
0:15: especially because of him performing
0:18: at the Super Bowl soon.
0:20: Oh my god, it resonates a lot to me.
0:22: Especially DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,
0:25: I should’ve taken more pictures of the song.
0:27: I immigrated here with my family about six years ago
0:29: and like, just the topics of the album
0:31: about leaving what’s, you know, your traditions.
0:34: Not the traditions behind, but your culture,
0:36: all that world that you were so used to
0:39: in Latin America, and then leaving that
0:41: to pursue your dreams here in the United States.
0:44: It just felt like … it was spot on for me.
0:47: Even as someone who doesn’t fluently
0:49: speak Spanish, I think there was so, like,
0:53: it’s really just good music.
0:54: You know, he just talks about love and
0:56: celebrating life. And I think that’s really
0:58: beautiful when you have these different
1:00: things going on, and realizing that they can
1:01: coexist and really complement each other.
