Around one hundred hardcore music fans, including Columbia College students, gathered on Friday, Jan. 13 at Work26 Skateshop in South Lawndale to raise money for people impacted by ICE raids.
Hardcore is a fast, intense form of punk rock.
People moshed and danced the night before massive nationwide protests against the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
Six bands participated, including local bands such as Fate’s Hand, Curbstomp the Opposition and Fatal Intent.
The benefit was organized by Ruidosa Art Collective.
