VIDEO: Chicago Protesters come out for Tax Day Tea Party
April 20, 2009
The economic downturn, government spending and bailouts have caused thousands of protestors across the country to join in for the annual tax day “tea parties.”
Hundreds of people rallied in Chicago’s Federal Plaza, 50 W. Adams St., holding signs aimed towards President Barack Obama’s economic administration policies. Other protesters were more concerned about their children’s future.
Barbara Griffin, who was affected by the economic downtown and is currently unemployed said Americans need to start making decisions that are best for everyone, not just for one individual person. “I’m more concerned about the generation coming up than myself.”
