Firefighters of the Central Stickney Fire Protection District, 4951 Lotus Ave., organized a carwash Sept. 23 to raise funds for the nonprofit Feeding America, helping those affected by the hurricanes by providing food. The firefighters of Central Stickney raised a total of $1,264.08 between 9 a.m. and 3 a.m.
