kind of speaks out of both sides of the mouth, the computer you typed that on is probably a mac, rare earths aren't used solely in smart phones, and you really have no idea about working conditions in china because i'm assuming you've never been there.

I've been to china, and i've been to foxconn, and they're paid fine. are they under tons of pressure? you bet your *ss. Are they paid well in comparison to the average market salary, you should also be betting your *ss.

If anything the reason why fox conn employees are so overworked, it's because the demand for iphones is so god d*mn high that the factory doesn't have the capacity to employ enough workers to satisfy the demand.

How about you dismount your high horse and take personal responsibility for your contribution to what you see as a perceived evil.

Dodd frank regulations do nothing but stimulate crime in this aspect. The rare earths are demanded by the market and those countries have a supply. If you think passing a law is going to change market demand you aren't operating within the bounds of reality.
