President-Elect Barack Obama speaks at Grant Park

It was a waiting game. More than 240,000 people crowded into Grant Park on election night to cheer on Sen. Barack Obama. They waited anxiously all week, hoping to receive a pair of tickets to the event. They stood in line all day, and they lingered with thousands of strangers in front of giant TV screens to hear the results. Emotions were high and hearts were proud. When America learned the name of its new Commander-in-Chief, there was a collective declaration: Yes, we did.

I was so proud to hear that half of my dream(provicy) came true, the other half is meeting him of cause. Almost two years ago,I was seventeen and was absolutely sure what I wanted out of life. One of those things was to see Barack Obama Become President. He was a guest on the Oprah show with his wife( love her!!!) and I absolutely fell in love with them I believed in him when he said he wanted to bring about change. As a proud South African citizen, the only other person I believe wanted to bring about real change was “Tata”( Nelson Mandela). With my whole heart and soul I believe and you Pres. Barack Obama and I always will. Remember my name, I am sure we’ll talk in a few decades :) I look forward to it Mr. President. :)
