As the highest Administration stands now to implement approved recommendations from the Prioritization process, I vote "No Confidence" in Dr. Carter to lead this charge. We wouldn't be in this "major overhaul"position had improvements in College structure been happening incrementally over the past decade, especially with regard to the endowment. Financial times always get tough, look at any economic bell curve, it's cyclical. We are clearly in the rainy days Dr. Carter never thought we had to save for.

This process has not been transparent whatsoever. "Prioritization" aims to corporatize Columbia, not improve it. This letter is highly condescending to the students staff and faculty that have voiced their concerns over very specific and important issues with prioritization, such as cutting the fiction writing department, cutting the cultural studies department, cutting the center for black music research, and many more. We will continue to protest because it's clear that President Warrick L. Carter and Allen Turner have no intention of legitimately addressing our concerns.
